37 Hours a week, 8.30am to 5.00pm & Friday 8.30am to 4.00pm

Design Engineer required for a growing niche manufacturer. The role offers a chance to join a highly reputable company supplying an advanced and unique product.

The role will suit those looking for a varied product design and development role.  It will suit those looking for concept based design role overseeing all stages of the process from start to delivery. 

Using SolidWorks, you will design and develop human machine interface products used primarily in the industrial and aerospace industry with an emphasis on fast turn-around and customer service.  You will work closely with the client to ensure the design meets the specification and generate product documentation with some project management.  An important part of the role will include reports and liaising results with the client.

The company are well established providing a niche product range.  They have built up an excellent reputation for delivering a niche product with an excellent customer focused service.

The role:

*Mechanical design of electronic, electro-mechanical products using SolidWorks

*Product development

*Project management through the product life cycle    

*generation of reports and the documentation of results


The person:

* Electro-mechanical product design

* 3D design package such as SolidWorks

* Ability to apply a thorough and methodical approach to product design

* Great communication skills and able to work in a small engineering team

* Able to work to tight deadlines
