Manufacturing Engineer (Mechanical or Electronic)

Manufacturing Engineer with either a mechanical or electronics background required for a market leading engineering company who are at the forefront of technology. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an employee owned and focused company who are pioneering within biotechnology and are working to support the introduction of viral vaccines at a critical time.
The successful candidate will have a mechanical or electronics background and will have experience in product and process validation and verification. You will have experience using CAD software to design jigs and fixtures, ideally with SolidWorks but this is not essential. You can come from any manufacturing background, however, candidates with experience with injection moulding would be ideal.
Reporting into the R&D Manager, the successful Manufacturing Engineer will be involved in streamlining and CI within existing production lines as well as being involved with the release of new products. You will carry out process validation and verification on both new and existing products and will be responsible for supporting the creation of documentation such as operating procedures, qualification documents, qc etc.
Working to IS09001 and 13485 standards, you will hold accountability for the progression of new products and work with the NPD team to advise on the design of manufacture to make it suitable for mass production and will design suitable jigs, tools and equipment. In addition, you will work closely with the quality department and the software team throughout the process.
