A single-office, independent Civil and Structural Design Consultancy are currently looking for a Structural Engineer to join their office in Preston, Lancashire, on a full-time basis.
The company operate largely within the Domestic Housing and Residential sectors designing low-rise units and are looking for an experienced engineer to come in and help with the hands-on design work. They're a large office working across the Civil, Structural and Geotechnical sectors and also work projects in the Commercial and Industrial sectors, albeit to a slightly lesser extent.
They have a close-knit team and concentrate a huge focus on developing their staff and supporting individuals within the team wherever necessary.
The ideal Structural Engineer will:
- Have a degree or degree-equivalent qualification in an engineering-related field
- Have at least 4 years' experience working in a consultancy performing a similar role
- Have worked at minimum Assistant Engineer level
- Be willing to perform hands-on design work and be fluent in the relevant software including Tekla, AutoCAD and Revit would be a bonus
- Being Chartered is a huge bonus
Packages start at around £32k but for the right candidate will rise as high as £45k should they be able to demonstrate their worth and value via previous roles and experience.
