A well-established manufacturing company
The role will be programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to produce machined parts in an efficient manner taking the quickest production path whilst maintaining quality and safety standards.
Support and maintain a culture that promotes health and Safety values within the Company.
Support the department manager with the organisation, planning and production within the section, ensuring that the section works effectively and efficiently.
Provide first-line support to the section to troubleshoot and resolve problems with machines as they arise.
Train new employees and apprentice.
Undertake regular planned maintenance such as cleaning and sharpening.
Calibrate tools and equipment.
Must have experience of programming from drawings direct to the machine
Able to program 5-axis CNC machines
Experience of hyperMILL CAD-CAM
Experience in producing small batch work and one-offs
Heidenhain experience is an advantage
Able to interpret engineering drawings
The salary offered for this position is £30,000- £35,000 pa to a candidate that can meet all key qualifications and abilities.
