We are currently recruiting for CNC Millers for a very successful and extremely busy subcontract machine shop. The company produces a range of high class machined products and need 2 additional Millers to join their team. The work is small batches (up to 30) and working conditions excellent with first class machinery in a very clean (for a machine shop) environment which has a very low turnover of staff, due to the company's ethos regarding employee welfare. In addition to very regular salary reviews they also have a comprehensive benefits package which includes things like profit share, private medical Insurance, free spectacles, excellent pension scheme and more: Work is on a 2 shift system consisting of early and late shift commutable from Barnsley, Wakefield, Huddersfield and Halifax.
Setting and operating of Hermle and various other multi-axis machining centres.
Editing and adjusting programs at the machine using Heidenhain and Fanuc controls.
Liaising with production engineers to develop new projects and optimise route cards.
Problem solving and continuous improvement.
Working to very fine limits and adept with Inspection techniques. In-process inspection using CMMs and various manual measuring equipment.
Ability to read engineering drawings.
Strict adherence to written processes & procedures.
Experienced on 3 axis VMCs (4th and 5th axis a bonus)
Able to programme using G&M code
Enthusiastic and diligent in your work
Qualified via Apprenticeship or Experience
Team player offers help to other members of the team when necessary
