We are an independent Engineering Inspection business with superb head offices in central Manchester, and staff around the UK and Ireland. We have over 450 highly skilled Engineer Surveyors and Engineering Consultants who inspect, test and report on industrial machinery from coffee machines to tower cranes in order to keep the UK industry, businesses and public safe. What will I be doing? 

As an Administrator with British Engineering Services you will use your fantastic planning skills to coordinate new customer work requests, and initiating the workflow for our Customer Trading and Support teams. We genuinely care about our people and their success, so you can expect a full program of internal training from our Quality Control Team- after all, they’re the experts!

You will report to our Team Manager, Kathryn, who will support you throughout your training and help you develop as you progress in the role. Your day to day role will see you work across several e-mail inboxes to review and allocate Customer and Engineer requests via the CRM system (Customer Relationship Management System). You will use your problem-solving skills to ensure that teams have all the information required to process new requests and update existing cases efficiently. Your key responsibilities will be:

  • To review and allocate new requests via the CRM system
  • Updating and reviewing data entered to the CRM system, whilst always ensuring accuracy
  • Assisting the Direct (customer) and Indirect (broker) Sales Team and Customer Trading and Support Teams with administrative tasks

Our customers really matter to us, so you will also work closely with our Direct (customer) and Indirect (broker) Sales Team and the Customer Trading and Support Teams, providing extensive administrative support to ensure that our customers receive the best quality service, on time, every time.

What are we looking for:

Our team consists of the BEST Administrators, we should know, we trained them! You don’t need heaps of experience, just the right attitude, aptitude and appetite for what we do. Keeping Britain Safe.  

This is a very busy role, where you will be responsible for allocating work to our Customer trading and Support teams , so it is important that tasks are completed accurately and on time. You might offer some previous office experience, or perhaps you have a really good attitude and great organisation skills. Either way, you will have the drive to do the best at everything you do.

Naturally, you will have excellent attention to detail as you will be working with large amounts of data. You will work on your own to process requests and information, however as a key support across our business, it is important that you can work both individually and as a member of a team.

As the role is currently home based, you will need Wi-Fi and an appropriate work station in order to complete the role. Once things start to resume to normal, you can expect a blend of time working in the office and from home .
