Compass Resourcing are currently recruiting a Site Manager for a construction main contractor who are located near Castleford. The company work mainly on residential and some commercial new build projects and they are currently in the process of recruiting a Site Manager from a civil engineering background. This is required on a permanent basis, initially starting on a project in Knottingley.
The project is a 14 acre site which requires 2 million tonnes of material moving and recycling. The roads and sewers will then be set out and constructed and the site manager will be in charge of this full process getting the site ready for the construction of 175 houses. The site manager will be No1 on site and must manage and supervise the engineers and subcontractors. You will be client facing and must have a professional and approachable manner. You should be a good motivator and able to get the best out of your team. Ideally you will have good IT skills and be pro-active and hard working. Applicants must have a civil engineering background and have worked on similar projects in the past.
Future projects will require similar experience and will usually be located along the M62 corridor.
Qualifications required: CSCS, SMSTS and First Aid
Standard working hours - 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday
This is a permanent position which is required ASAP
