£23,000 - £35,000/annum

We are looking for a Site Support Engineer to join an industry leading company in Derby.

Job Requirements 

  • Undertake planned maintenance activities on control and automation systems across several sites through out the UK
    • Involves periods away from home, nights and some weekends
  • Undertake fault rectification activities
  • Participate in an on call rota
  • Respond to reactive maintenance callouts
  • Produce fault/maintenance reports
  • Applicant must be able to drive as the job involves driving to various sites
  • The applicant should expect to be on-site Qualifications
  • HND or higher in an electrical based subject (Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronics etc.)

 
Technical Skills/Experience

  • Installation, modification and fault finding control panels and associated sensors etc.
  • Writing and fault finding PLC software written in ladder, function block and structured text
  • Creating and fault finding SCADA systems
  • Creating and fault finding HMI systems
  • Configuring and fault finding industrial Ethernet networks
    • § Including ring/spanning tree topologies
    • § Including VLANs
  • VMWare virtualisation
  • Good general IT skills
  • Competent with Microsoft Office Physical Characteristics
  • Must be reasonably fit
  • Must be prepared to work outside
  • Must be prepared to get hands on
  • Must be prepared to work as part of a young and dynamic team
  • Calm under pressure
  • Persistent
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The job will require working at height on occasion
  • The Job will require confined space access on occasion

On offer is a Salary of £23,000 to £35,000 dependent on experience plus an enhanced holiday package plus Laptop & Phone
