We are looking for a Site Support Engineer to join an industry leading company in Derby.
Job Requirements
- Undertake planned maintenance activities on control and automation systems across several sites through out the UK
- Involves periods away from home, nights and some weekends
- Undertake fault rectification activities
- Participate in an on call rota
- Respond to reactive maintenance callouts
- Produce fault/maintenance reports
- Applicant must be able to drive as the job involves driving to various sites
- The applicant should expect to be on-site Qualifications
- HND or higher in an electrical based subject (Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronics etc.)
Technical Skills/Experience
- Installation, modification and fault finding control panels and associated sensors etc.
- Writing and fault finding PLC software written in ladder, function block and structured text
- Creating and fault finding SCADA systems
- Creating and fault finding HMI systems
- Configuring and fault finding industrial Ethernet networks
- § Including ring/spanning tree topologies
- § Including VLANs
- VMWare virtualisation
- Good general IT skills
- Competent with Microsoft Office Physical Characteristics
- Must be reasonably fit
- Must be prepared to work outside
- Must be prepared to get hands on
- Must be prepared to work as part of a young and dynamic team
- Calm under pressure
- Persistent
- Excellent communication skills
- The job will require working at height on occasion
- The Job will require confined space access on occasion
On offer is a Salary of £23,000 to £35,000 dependent on experience plus an enhanced holiday package plus Laptop & Phone
