Field Reliability Engineer - UK or Ireland Based (remote and field)This is a great opportunity for a maintenance engineer or service engineer to step up into a reliability engineer role with the plan over the next few years to take over the reliability manager who will be retiring.
Must be strong mechanically or electrically, drive and have FMCG, Automotive or Pharma manufacturing experience.
This role will move away from being on the tools to looking at how to improve the reliability of the machinery so devising maintenance plans, looking at the root cause of problems, monitoring performance and then instructing service technicians on what needs to be done.
Field Reliability Engineer can be based anywhere in UK i.e. Midlands, Cardiff, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Scotland, Yorkshire, Lancashire, London, Cornwall, Cumbria etc.
Field Reliability Engineer role will be working for a global leading automated solutions provider that has capitalised and expanded on their client base and is leading the market with bespoke automated solutions with machinery/line ranging from £10m-£30m for blue chip manufacturers. Global business that is growing from strength to strength and has invested heavily in advanced facilities, training and rewarding and recognition for employees. This puts them ahead of their competition in terms of product, delivery and customer support.
This role will be to Field Reliability Engineer is to prolong the life of the machines and get the best it of them after machines have been installed working with blue chip clients (Automotive, Pharma, FMCG, Life Sciences and more) for the life cycle of after care.

Client facing role across the UK
Root cause analysis
Understanding reliability techniques,
Look at why a machine is failing and looking at a resolve
Developing a maintenance schedule from scratch on new kit
Monitoring data from the machinery/ lines
Data monitoring systems both yours and the customers
Travel mainly UK and Ireland - (normally home most nights but can be away for 2 nights)
Field Reliability Engineer MUST HAVE's
- Mechanical / electrical apprenticeship/ qualifications
- Full driving license
- Solid experience of automated machinery within a manufacturing ideally pharma, automotive or FMCG but others are accepted.
- Used to travelling and staying away from home for small periods
