Manufacturing Manager

Location: Manchester

Salary: Circa £50k plus company car allowance and company share scheme   

A local engineering and fabrication company are going through a rapid growth phase.  They are now looking for a commercially savvy and hands on Manufacturing Manager to join their team.

The company has seen huge growth in the last year having nearly doubled their turnover from £5m to an incredible £9m with no signs of stopping.  With this rapid growth comes the usual upscaling challenges.

 

Manufacturing Manager – Overview

To work with the managing director to move the business from a small enterprise to a medium business with a focus on capacity planning, continuous improvement, setting kpi’s, weekly meetings and more importantly ensuring the company products are getting out of the door on time.

Manufacturing Manager - job requirements:

The ideal candidate must come from the manufacturing industry as a Manufacturing Manager. You will also have the following skills, qualifications and experience:

  • Ideally hold an engineering qualification such as HNC, HND or BEng (Not essential)
  • Ideally hold a Lean SixSigma Black Belt qualification
  • Commercially astute
  • Have a hands on approach
  • Able to undertake capacity planning
  • Able to set KPI’s and ensure targets are being hit
