My client, a specialist UK based Engineering and Environmental Consultancy, is searching for a Graduate Flood Risk Consultant to join an expanding Water and Environmental Team based in Cardiff.
It is essential that applicants have a strong academic background including a MSc and/or BSc in Hydrology, Environmental Modelling or Hydraulic Modelling and experience using Hydraulic Modelling packages including Flood Modeller or Tuflow.
Candidates are required to have a strong background in numeracy (preferably a strong A level in Mathematics) and a passion for flood risk, modelling, mathematics and/or coding.
Candidates will be trained by the experienced team to specialise in Flood Risk and Hydraulic Modelling, Model Build and Verification using Flood Modeller and Tuflow.
You will also be trained complete technical work including Flood Risk Assessments for Planning Applications, Flood Estimation using ReFH and Winfap, Hydrological Assessments, Environmental Chapters,Surface Water Management Plans, Catchment Management Plans and Hydraulic Modelling, Model Build and Verification using Flood Modeller Pro and Tuflow.
Candidates will also be required to assist with Drainage Strategies and SAB Applications.
