SRA Engineering are looking for a CNC Grinder/Operator to join an manufacturing business in Nottingham.

The successful candidate should have:

Good experience of CNC machining (setter/operator level through to ideally editing gained preferably through an apprenticeship scheme).

Previous experience of grinding operations (particularly profile grinding) is desirable and applicants must be able to contribute to on-going developmental improvements within the area.

Due to the nature of the shifts the successful applicant must be capable of working unsupervised, be able to use their own initiative to solve problems and self motivated to meet the necessary targets on output and quality. The ability to work as part of a flexible team will also be required in this role.

Hours of work:

Continuous work pattern of 12-hour days (6.00am – 6.00 pm) and nights (6.00 pm – 6.00 am)

Hours will average at 42 hours per week inclusive of a 30-minute daily paid break.

The Company reserves the right to make reasonable alterations to the contract, including altering or transferring to other patterns of work.

Pay and benefits:

The starting rate for this position is £10.87 per hour, representing 95% of the starting rate for this position. On successful completion of the probationary period the hourly rate will increase to £11.44 per hour plus an average of 30% shift premium for this work pattern
