We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join our food manufacturing company based in the Newport area. There are two Maintenance Engineer positions available both days and nights

The Maintenance Engineer will assist the production team to diagnose and rectify maintenance faults on site whilst performing planned maintenance on the production and packaging line machinery.

As the Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for:                
Attending breakdowns within all areas of the factory
Carrying out both electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks.               
Have knowledge and experience in electro-mechanical, PLC fault finding, electronics, pneumatics and hydraulics in order to support the production operators
Perform corrective and PPM when required
As the maintenance engineer you will also be working towards continuous improvements on site.

The successful Maintenance Engineer will be Multi skilled, ideally with experience of working within either a FMCG environment. As the Electrical Maintenance Engineer will be Apprentice trained in Electrical or equivalent or Engineering qualifications from City & Guilds, NVQ, HNC, HND, 16th/17th edition, BTEC, ONC or OND   

1 position on 2s and 3 days £32,900 per annum
1 position on 2s and 3s nights £34,400 per annum
