Manufacturing Engineer / Production Engineer / Continuous Improvement Engineer required to join a renowned manufacturer based in Bradford. The Manufacturing Engineer / Production Engineer will be working within a CNC machining / manufacturing environment and will be responsible for continuous improvement initiatives as well as supporting the design & shop-floor team.
You must have continuous improvement experience within a manufacturing / CNC machining / Automotive or similar environment. Experience using 2D & 3D CAD is also required.

Role
Implement and develop production processes and procedures - Continuous improvement, waste reduction and cost efficiencies
Updating and maintaining standard work methods, instructions, and SOP’s
Provide support to the design team – both designing & improving products
Improve manufacturing efficiencies by analysing and planning workflow, space requirements and equipment layout
Identify manufacturing needs and design new systems and processes
Cost effective integration of new products, processes & equipment
Applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, machining, assembly, tooling, and materials
Support and lead continuous improvement, problem solving, and process improvement activity
Communicate with external suppliers and customers
Liaise with various engineering / manufacturing environments
Based in Bradford.
Requirements
Proven experience in continuous improvement, ideally as a Production Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Continuous Improvement Engineer or similar
Experience implementing continuous improvement methods and a working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing within a manufacturing / CNC machining / Fabrication / Automotive or similar environment
Apprentice trained, HNC, HND or Degree qualified in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, production engineering, or similar
2D & 3D CAD software knowledge
Apply knowledge of product design, fabrication, machining, assembly, tooling, and materials
Proven track record within project management - Planning, project, and time management experience
Commutable to Bradford
Full UK Driving Licence
