As a Graduate Project Engineer you'll provide project management and delivery assurance to the business enabling it to meet its operational and long-term objectives. You'll also ensure that projects are delivered according to best practice project management techniques and standards as well as in line with the scale and type of projects, delivered to the identified business benefits. Most of your workload will be managing R&D and NPD projects. As a Graduate Project Engineer, you will manage the day to day aspects of the R&D and NPD projects, liaising with internal and external stakeholders at all levels to ensure effective and efficient implementation, driving continuous improvement.
As our new Graduate Project Engineer, you'll have graduated (or have graduated by Summer 2021) in a relevant engineering discipline (knowledge of design for manufacturing required: mechanical, electrical or electronic engineering preferred) and have experience, within the workplace or studies, of managing projects to set parameters such as time, quality and cost. Sandwich degrees are acceptable. As you'll be liaising with clients, as well as internal senior management, you'll have strong communication, relationship building and resilience skills. You'll be self-motivated, able to proactively identify opportunities and risk whilst thinking innovatively to resolve where applicable or add value.
The Graduate Project Engineer role will incorporate reporting and financial modelling, therefore good analytical and numerical skills are key as is the ability to balance conflicting priorities whilst meeting deadlines.
