Our engineering client is looking for an experienced Mechancal Fitter/Service Engineer with a background in precision, close tolerance assembly. This role combines production fitting and field service work (estimated split 70/30)
The role will involve the skilled fitting, testing and servicing of both diesel and electric equipment and the ability to work from engineering drawings and use measuring equipment are both essential. A background in machine shop engineering would be beneficial as would experience in rotating equipment.
In addition there is a requirement to travel in the UK and overeas, generally on a planned routine basis, but occasionally at short notice to deal with breakdowns and to stay on site until the job is done.
