Manufacturing Engineer / Manager required to join production company on Co. Derry

We are currently seeking to recruit a Manufacturing Engineer / Manager to join a leading manufacturing firm at their site in County L/Derry. Our client produces a range of products used within the agricultural and material handling sectors and supplier into a number of NIs best known engineering firms.
Your new role
In your new role as Manufacturing Engineer / Manager you will take on a varied role in which you will be both hands on within the production as well as working directly with customers to understand their requirements. From a manufacturing standpoint you will produce insight and guidance to production on how best to maximise efficiency and improve lead times. You will develop fixtures, jigs and fittings to aid production. You will adapt and amend production cells to achieve maximum quality and efficiency. Working with customer will advise on manufacturing capability and guide them design-for-manufacture. Working closely with sales you will advise on production times, labour levels and manufacturing resources for customer quotations.
What you'll need to succeed
To prove a success in securing this role you should be coming with a recognised Engineering qualification and a minimum of 5 years' experience working in a Manufacturing Engineers' role. You will ideally be coming from a fabrication background with experience in material handling or agri equipment. It is important you have a strong grasp of how to implement Lean manufacturing techniques and the ability to work in CAD
