Civil Engineering Designer required for a Design Management role in the North East of England.

To apply for this role you will require a minimum of 8 years' experience in the development of large civil engineering infrastructure schemes which may include major developments within either harbours/marine works, power stations, major highways, geotechnical / earthworks, drainage or large scale building development.

You will need to be from a civil engineering design background and be ready to take responsibility for scheme management and coordination. You will have a good working knowledge of contract documentation, tender documents for both professional services and construction works, contract administration and liaison with outside parties.

In the role you will be responsible for coordinating and liaising with external Consultant design teams , checking and questioning design submissions, to include interpreting site investigation reports, earthworks , infrastructure, RC above and below ground structures design etc.

This position would represent a good step up for an existing Designer / Project Engineer at an Engineering Consultancy, looking for a more rewarding and demanding career, where you will be encouraged to broaden your projects skills base.
