The Role – Quality Technician, Manufacturing & Engineering
This market-leading manufacturer now seeks to recruit a dedicated Quality Technician.
You will be part of their Quality Department whose aim is to ensure that the organisation is fit for purpose and that it meets both external and internal requirements, including product and company certifications, legal compliance, and customer satisfaction.
We also ensure that all Quality Policies, Regulations, and Operating Procedures are adhered to and that the business delivers the highest quality products to the customer, on time and without the need for returns.

Full responsibilities will include:
DHR Review & Quality Engineering Administration Support
Auditing of DHR records daily, to maintain regulatory compliance, and producing a monthly report on issues found.
First Line Investigation
Providing support for Quality Engineers and SCM for quality issues that arise during production, for example providing support with First Article Inspection, 8D containment actions etc.
Supporting the Quality Engineers with the administration tasks associated with supplier quality
Maintaining the supplier quality database, liaising with suppliers for outstanding documentation, maintaining supplier quality KPI’s, data entry
Identify possible improvements, including cost reduction and process improvements, and to lead or participate in continuous improvement activities and projects
Business Scorecard Reporting
Assist in the gathering of information for departmental and/or business level KPI's as required.
Daily AVM (Agile Visual Management) Meetings
Provide Quality representation at the daily AVM (stand up) meetings held in each area of manufacturing operations
Your Background – Quality Technician, Manufacturing & Engineering
Work-based experience in a manufacturing or engineering role, preferably in a quality environment.
Demonstrate your understanding of supplier quality management, and the use of appropriate problem-solving tools including 8D, 5Why’s, Ishikawa, Lean Manufacturing methods, etc.
A basic understanding of the requirements in ISO 9001 is preferable but not essential
Problem solving skills, as well as a firm character and the ability to work as part of a team and alone.
