An expanding manufacturer of advanced composite products supplying sectors including automotive, rail and aerospace has a new vacancy for a Manufacturing Engineer to join the team. Based at their recently opened site the role will support production processes to improve efficiency, ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement across the business.

Salary: £ 28,000 - £ 34,000 p.a. + benefits
Suitable for: Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer, CI Engineer, Continuous improvement Engineer.
Due to the recent award of new programs you will support new product introduction, improve manufacturing processes, drive continuous improvement and identify areas for improvement.
Provide day to day support to manufacturing operations
Focus on process robustness through the use of process control measures
Lead structured problem solving projects linked to day-day manufacturing issues
Update manufacturing documentation to maintain configuration control and manage Point of Introduction activities.
Ensure process compliance with any productivity improvements within the value stream.
Support continuous improvement activities across the site.
Participate in risk assessments within the value stream and support actions that arise.
Approve engineering orders and drawing for design change management processes
Ensure all products comply with customer specifications
Degree in engineering or equivalent qualifications/experience
Experience in complex manufacturing with composite materials/products
Ability to work in fast paced/cross-functional team environment
Experience developing new process methods, driving continuous improvement activities and will ideally have six sigma training.
