Due to site relocation a manufacturing group supplying complex engineered assembles has a new vacancy for an Engineering Manager. An experienced Maintenance professional you will lead the maintenance team providing guidance and implementing a maintenance schedule and best practise.
Commutable from: Chester, Liverpool, Manchester, Middlewich, Northwich, St Helens, Warrington, Salford, Stockport, Crewe, Wrexham.
Salary: £ 45,000 - £ 60,000 p.a. + benefits + pension

The Role
You will implement and monitor the maintenance schedule so preventative maintenance can take place and will ensure engineering best practice across the plant. The role also focuses on continually improving the reliability of key machines by taking a proactive approach to preventative maintenance activities and process improvements.
Key responsibilities
Plan & control the work for a team of Maintenance Engineers
Develop, implement and control the preventive maintenance plan
Control budget expenditure
OEE improvement
Give technical direction and support to the Maintenance Engineers
Develop and manage a TPM schedule
Investigate equipment efficiencies and initiate improvements
Ensure housekeeping is maintained to the highest standards
The Candidate
With a background in Maintenance you must have proven experience of leading a team within a fast-paced complex heavy engineering environment and must have a good understanding of electrical maintenance and managing capex expenditure.
The successful individual will have a good understanding of best practice and excellent people skills with the ability to get the best out of a team.
