A growing leader in the manufacture of research and scientific equipment is now looking for a Production Manager to manage their Bristol Production Facility.

The Production Manager is a critical role in to ensure customers have their products delivered on time, on cost and to the highest standards of quality. As a member of Senior Management Team, you will contribute to strategy deployment, develop strong working relations with other functions and sponsor continuous development across the site.

As Production Manager, you are responsible for meeting metrics that demonstrate safety, quality, cost, delivery, and productivity targets are achieved.

You will work closely with Sales, Supply Chain and Engineering teams to deliver the Sales and Operations Planning process, which is designed to deliver to customer requirements.

You will be responsible for all activities undertaking by the Production Teams to achieve production goals, ensuring the Production activities are fully resourced and delivered on time, in budget and to a high quality.

To ensure all objectives and timescales are met, you will be responsible for the resources, staffing, equipment, and materials required for the product delivery.

Where necessary, you will provide training to production staff to ensure they are able to deliver on time and in budget.

Qualifications and Experience:

Ideally you will hold a Degree in an appropriate discipline, or have gained significant experience in a similar role.  A LEAN Green Belt or equivalent qualification is also desirable.

As the successful Production Manager, you are likely to be a time-served Engineering Apprentice, with experience working on the shop floor, in production, assembly, test and will have progressed into a leadership / management role. 

You will have proven experience in the management of production and assembly teams, managing Shifts and also managing Team Leaders.

Additional Information:

Candidates must be eligible to work and live in the UK / Europe and hold a full driving licence.  Copies of Passports / Visas will be requested for verification.
