Manpower is recruiting for a Maintenance Supervisor on behalf of a large food producer based in the Dungannon area

Excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer with some Supervisory experience to further their career with a large Northern Ireland food producer

This is a hands on supervisory role so you still be working directly on machinery but will also act as a Lead Engineer/ Supervisor over the maintenance team

The Role

  • Ensure maintenance schedules and programmes are followed for all factory machinery, equipment and systems
  • Manage team performance, productivity and development of other maintenance engineers
  • Carry out installation, maintenance and repairs to electrical and mechanical equipment
  • Provide technical support to the maintenance team
  • Ensure factory machinery and systems operate continuously and safely
  • Help identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiencies
  • Ensure company policies, procedures and health & safety practices are followed
  • Coordinate and oversee activities of maintenance engineers
  • Ensure training and development plans for engineers and apprentices are implemented
  • Manage department costs, reporting on KPI's and communicate regularly with Engineering Manager on any projects or issues

What we are looking for

  • Qualified in electrical or mechanical discipline (or both)
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing environment, preferably some food production experience
  • Have over 1 years' experience in a Supervisory or Management role
  • Proven experience with problem solving and fault diagnostics
  • Experience developing a team, with the ability lead, motivate and manage performance
  • Ability to communicate effectively at various levels and work to deadlines/ targets

Shift pattern involves 3 rotations which includes some weekend working
