Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical Bias)
Salary: £35k + incentives
Shifts: Days - 4 on 4 off
Are you a Maintenance Engineer who doesn’t mind getting your hands dirty?
Have you got experience working on heavy machinery?
Would you describe yourself as switched on, self-motivated, and driven to achieve?
We are looking for a Mechanically-biased Maintenance Engineer with an electrical appreciation (around 70/30) to join a heavy-industry company in Scunthorpe. We are also willing to look at electrical engineers who are open to getting their hands dirty and embrace the mechanical side of Maintenance Engineering. If you are familiar with root cause analysis as well as thinking on your feet this may be the opportunity for you.
The role would involve inspecting and assisting on breakdowns of the static and mobile plant machinery on site. Experience working with conveyors, 3-phase motors, and familiarity with Siemens PLC’s would bolster your application and give you a greater chance of success. There are plans to also implement incentives based around PPMs, downtime and machine availability.
