You will be working for a leading supplier within the engineering industry based in Oldbury. You will be working 1:00pm – 10:00pm Monday to Thursday and 1:00pm – 7:00pm on Fridays with a 30-minute unpaid lunch plus two 15 minutes paid breaks.

As the Bandsaw and Warehouse Operative, you will be:

  • Operating Bandsaws in the stainless-steel section
  • Loading and unloading of vehicles, picking and packing items for dispatch and booking goods in
  • Ensuring all required paperwork is up to date
  • Utilising manual handling equipment, cutting to requirements, completing inspections and packing finished goods
  • Completing documents and relevant data within SAP
  • Maintaining identification and traceability of products throughout the entire process
  • Complying with safe working practises, including the reporting of all accidents, incidents and near misses in the workplace
  • Achieving individual and team productivity performance standards including accuracy

As the Bandsaw and Warehouse Operative, you will:

  • Have experience of operating a Bandsaw ideally within the steel industry
  • Have experience of operating Counterbalance and Reach forklift trucks and overhead cranes up to 20 tonnes
  • Have strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Be computer literate; knowledge of SAP system is an advantage but not essential
  • Have the ability to reprioritise tasks
  • You may have experience of the following: Saw Machine or Steel Operative, Bandsaw or Saw Operator, Sheet Metal Fabricator, Production Assistant or Production or Warehouse Operative

As the Bandsaw and Warehouse Operative your salary will be £24,000 including 20% shift allowance per annum, plus a fantastic range of benefits.
