The Role: Engineering Manager
The Shorterm Group are currently recruiting for a leading storage solutions company based in South Wales.
They are looking for a self-motivated and practical Engineering Manager.
Your primary role as a senior member of the team will be the management and coordination of their installation and engineering teams in the UK & Ireland.
What you'll be doing:
*Overseeing the management of the installation of storage equipment at client sites.
*Training those required to carry out inspection, testing and commissioning of completed installations.
*Complete pre-installation documentation relevant to each build and install
*Organise and control staff under their control.
*Plan & Schedule the installation of the automated storage unit.
*Comply with the company's and the client's environmental, health & safety requirements, policies and procedures including the risk assessments and method statements for the build and install of automated storage equipment.
*Ensure the completion of documentation relevant to the build and install.
*Regular travel UK-wide and Republic of Ireland should be expected. National travel with overnight stays should be also expected as part of this role.
The ideal candidate will have:
*4+ years' experience in managing a team of engineers in an FMCG / Manufacturing / Automation environment.
*Formerly responsible for coordinating, preparing and training personnel.
*Experience and qualifications within maintenance, electrical or engineering environment and are technically minded.
*Formal electrical qualification and have proven experience in electrical inspection and testing. NVQ Level 3, BTEC Level 3 or HNC.
