My Client a civil engineering contractor who operate in the water, flood risk and coastal engineering sectors have an exciting opportunity for a civil engineering Estimator.

Working on a permanent basis this new requirement is for a civil engineering biased Estimator. The role has arisen due to sustainable growth and to support future growth of the business.

The purpose of the role is to ensure highly competitive, resourced and analysed tender costs and submissions to key clients. to work within frameworks evaluating negotiated contracts. To be aware of company targets for new orders and to deliver profitable and successful bids.

Key deliverables:

  • taking off quantities
  • temporary works design or assessments
  • evaluating programme requirements
  • efficient and effective resource levels
  • calculating net costs of tender from first principle
  • assist with budget prices for clients

Applicants should hold an HNC in civil engineering or NVQ level 6 in construction or alternatively a degree in civil or environmental engineering. Ideally applicants should have a minimum of 2 years experience in an Estimating role dealing primarily with civil engineering projects and a background in site based engineering.

Experience in the Water Engineering, flood risk or coastal engineering is desirable and would be a distinct advantage in this role.
