We have opportunities to join us in a Senior role with our Engineering Consultancy services team, operating from the idyllic county of Cornwall. Projects you’ll lead on
We work collaboratively with Local Authority to deliver long-term projects across Cornwall & the South West in line with our 4 year Business Plan. Your design and civil/structural engineering experience will see you deliver across a diverse project portfolio – across drainage, highways & structures, environmental improvement, transport and cycle pathways, maintenance, construction that will deliver crucial modernisation to Cornwall’s infrastructure.
You will be an experienced Civil or Structural Engineer with a track record of sound engineering judgement and practical skills that can be applied to our engineering projects.
You will be Chartered (C.Eng), Incorporated (I.Eng) with significant C.Eng or post I.Eng experience in civil engineering. Or if not already qualified, you may be working towards your Chartered Status and able to demonstrate relevant experience and competence in this area.
We are looking for you to bring:
- Knowledge of suitable design methods, structural design and analysis to Eurocodes or relevant British Standards
- Proven project management skills and knowledge of NEC contracts
- Ability to successfully monitor and evaluate project progress and finances
- Wide knowledge of construction methods and techniques
- Strong focus on health and safety with excellent client management skills
- Solutions focussed approach with proactive communication across construction teams to resolve technical queries

As Senior Engineer you will be joining our professional and experienced team to successfully deliver highway or environmental design projects. Your role will span the whole project lifecycle from inception through the feasibility and preliminary design stage, technical approval, detailed design, the creation of works information and supervision on site.
You will have a varied and autonomous role, undertaking a wide range of technical and managerial duties and involvement in varied and complex projects. The role will see you undertaking technical analysis and design to Eurocodes/ British Standards and Department for Transport Standards, preparing technical reports, collecting data, monitoring and managing allocated budgets.
You will be joining a close-knit team of engineers, providing technical and professional advice to deliver projects within agreed timescales. You will need to bring a collaborative approach and excellent communication skills that allow you to develop strong, functional relationships with delivery staff, internal clients, landowners and other stake holders. You will also have a strong focus on health, safety and welfare of all those connected with our projects.
