Manufacturing Engineering Manager (Manufacturing/Maintenance)

Shefford, Bedfordshire

37.5 Hours Monday to Friday (Primary hours are 8am to 4pm or 9am to 5pm with some flexibility and additional hours needed to fulfil the job requirements)

£50,000 - £56,000 + Company Car + 4% Pension + 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + Private Healthcare

Manufacturing Engineering Manager position available within a leading manufacturing company. The company have a culture of entrepreneurial spirit, innovation and high standards.

You need to have proven leadership/management experience and able demonstrate experience in maintenance manufacturing practices. You need to have an engineering background and have experience in a similar role. You must also be computer literate, health & safety focussed and have knowledge of lean concepts.

Reporting to the Head of Manufacturing, you will manage 2 small engineering teams. You’ll work in both the Shefford and Bedford site with most of the time spent at the Head Office in Shefford.

You’ll oversee the Engineering department ensuring excellence is achieved through collaborative working with the team. You will provide technical, people and project management expertise to support and continuously improve the department. You’ll work with the production team managers, maintenance and mould engineering teams to identify opportunities for improvement projects.

In summary, to apply for the role, you must have:

• Maintenance engineering background

• Knowledge of manufacturing and maintenance processes including management of production/maintenance engineering

• Knowledge and appreciation of Lean Manufacturing concepts

• Health and Safety procedures and legislation
