Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Engineer. Our client is a national Food manufacturer supplying major supermarkets in the UK. They are looking for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join them on a permanent basis. This is a great opportunity to join a market leader during a time of growth.

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer duties include:

  • Diagnosing breakdown problems
  • Breakdown Maintenance & Repair
  • Analysing operational issues
  • Providing technical support and training
  • Fully Understanding manufacturing processes
  • Planning and prioritising activities
  • Resolving problems in an efficient manner
  • Applying health and safety practices at all times
  • Communicating and presenting data effectively
  • Using Planned Preventative Maintenance Systems
  • Use Mechanical/Electrical drawings
  • Design and implement cost-reductive changes
  • Follow ALL food hygiene and Product quality Control Measures
  • Ensure all steps of production run smoothly and efficiently
  • Undergoing Planned Preventative Maintenance and Reactive Maintenance
  • Follow the shift pattern as detailed in the Engineering Plan
  • Other reasonable tasks as agreed with the Engineering Manager

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer criteria:

  • Must have HNC or extensive experience in a similar role
  • Must be flexible
  • Have good time management
  • Experience on working on machinery such as Multivac sealers and Thermoforms, Sandiacre (Hayssen) bagging equipment. Ishida Multi-head weighing systems, Fridge equipment and regulations. Boiler operation and controls. Fanuc Robot, metal detectors & check weighers. Markem & Linx Printing systems. Nitrogen tunnels and freezing systems. Glazing systems. Steam cooker and associated systems. Water Chilling systems including Glycol systems.
