Civil Engineer

We are currently in partnership with an established structural and civil engineering design consultancy based in Colchester who are interested in adding a Civil Engineer to their infrastructure team.

The Consultancy provide civil and structural engineering design services to the residential and commercial development industry throughout the UK and undertake high-rise projects more than 30 storeys with conventional as well as slip-form construction. With the onset of Building Information Modelling (BIM), the consultancy has moved into the development of use of Revit, Robot, Tekla Structural Designer and Civilc 3D.

As a Civil Engineer you will have the opportunity to work on large residential projects in excess of 500 units, the role will see you carrying out drainage designs including flood risk assessments, below ground drainage design, external works design, and FRA

What is required

MEng, BEng, BSc or equivalent in a relevant field.
Minimum of 2-3yrs experience producing drainage designs
Knowledge of S38, S104, S278 applications
Experience in undertaking SUD's designs and Flood Risk Assessments would be preferred
Aspiring to become Chartered ICE Engineer (assistance provided to achieve this)
Good use of micro-drainage, civils 3D will be (advantageous)
