Welfare Unit Hire Ltd are a well-established, highly regarded supplier of mobile welfare units to a range of clients across the construction and allied sectors.

Noted for our high levels of customer service, rapid response times and excellent client support we are now looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing company with an excellent reputation within our industry

This position entails working predominantly on our fleet of mobile welfare units; whilst the role will involve occasional travelling and site work around the North West, it is mainly based in our fully equipped workshop completing scheduled maintenance and post-hire repairs.

A good, broad knowledge of vehicle/light plant/coach/marine or generator systems is required. The successful candidate will typically undertake engine and suspension maintenance, electrical repairs, pipework and plumbing, minor body repairs and internal fit-outs. They will also install and maintain battery charging systems, including solar, and DC ancillary systems.

Excellent planning and record-keeping skills are also key requirements.

We seek a motivated, highly competent individual who will maintain our fleet to the highest standard and also have input into product development, such as better environmental efficiencies, ease of maintenance and enhanced service life of our equipment.

Class B+E driving licence preferred.

Salary range £26,000 - £28,000 pa.
