Design Engineer required for a leading Manufacturer of special purpose machinery in Kings Lynn


The business design, manufacture and install bespoke process equipment for a wide range of industries and are looking to expand their team, following an increase in work.


You will be responsible for:

  • Producing 2D & 3D designs of process machinery
  • Full 'concept to delivery' on projects
  • Compiling required documentation & calculations for projects
  • Ensuring customer requirements are understood and correctly interpreted
  • Conducting regular visits to Customer sites
  • Liaising with internal/external suppliers of component parts and services on all projects
  • Value Engineering existing designs, focusing on standardisation & cost reduction
  • Engineering Lead on NPD projects
  • Supporting and continuously improving Engineering processes within the team

In order for your application to be considered, you will need the following skills and experience:

  • Proven experience using SolidWorks
  • Experience producing designs of special purpose machinery
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, using visible controls, working in a clear and logical manner
  • HNC/HND in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical)
  • Knowledge of ERP systems
  • Knowledge of ISO9001:2015, BS EN 1090 would be advantageous, but not essential
