Do YOU want to work for a leading business?

My client who is a leading Aerospace business based in Hatfield, and due to continued growth is currently looking for a skilled and experienced Gear Cutter to join the existing team.


Finish preparing manufactured component parts to required specification by lapping and general finishing

Essential Skills & Experience:
*Experience of preparing finished component parts to high quality standard (hand polishing, lapping, deburring, shot-blasting, part marking etc)
*Experience of general assembly work
*Ability to inspect components during production to ensure drawing / spec requirements is maintained.
*Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and tolerances.
*Ability to use a wide range of different measuring and inspection devices
*Perform other tasks, within capabilities, when required.
*Able to work as part of a team and assist others where required
*Good communication skills
*Participate in Continuous Improvement / Lean manufacturing activities where required.

*Experience setting and operating conventional type machinery ie lathes, mills, drills
*Familiar with Aerospace AS9100D requirements
*Ability to use PC

*Basic rate £17.29 per hour (including 33% nightshift premium)
*39 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 9.45pm-8am
*25 days holiday
*Competitive 6% company pension contribution
