Engineering Manager (Refrigeration & Air Conditioning)

Our highly respected client, a specialist, family owned refrigeration and air conditioning engineering business, is now seeking to recruit for the above position.
The business is multi-faceted and includes cold store operations in addition to a broad range of refrigeration and air-conditioning engineering services, including maintenance and call-outs.
This senior position, reporting directly to the Managing Director, provides the ability to help shape, develop and deliver engineering activities within the business, leading the engineering team by example.
The successful applicant will be highly motivated and have a demonstrable work history from within the sector. With a solid understanding and experience of design, installation and commissioning of refrigeration and air-conditioning systems the successful applicant will also be responsible for the preparation of quotes and tenders.
With strong communication skills, the ability to negotiate and develop client relations is also a key feature of this position.
An in-depth knowledge and experience of working on refrigeration and air conditioning systems, confident, with proven experience of providing remote support to on-site engineers
Industry related HSE knowledge to include method statements and risk assessments
Excellent communication and organisational skills related to planning and delivery of resources
Strong people skills with the ability to influence others; approachable, competent in handling difficult situations decisively and calmly.
