Process Excellence Engineer position for a medical device manufacturer in Blackburn salary around £35,000.

Your new company
They are a medical and surgical device manufacturer based in Blackburn and have specialist knowledge in a number of different engineering areas. They develop and produce their products for a wide market.

Your new role
You will be responsible for ensuring all new projects are commissioned accordingly to best practice guaranteeing competitive practice. Also responsible for identifying appropriate PEx (process excellence) projects to reduce COGS and to design and redesign business and manufacturing processes in order to improve for consistent delivery with minimum waste. You will be experienced in lean production and and have to strive to increase efficiency of processes that are just being introduced to the company.

What you'll need to succeed
To succeed you will be qualified in an industrial engineering discipline or similar as well as a relevant qualification for Six Sigma or Lean- Six Sigma to Green Belt. You should also have experience working to ISO 9001 AND 13485 or a pharmaceutical background. Experience of using ERP software for data collection etc. is also required. Project management is also very beneficial. Your normal hours of work are 37.5 per week, 07:45 to 16:15 Monday to Thursday with a 30-minute unpaid break each day and 07:45 to 13:15 on a Friday.

What you'll get in return
In return you will get approximately £35,000 DOE for your work and annual leave of 30 days (including bank holidays). Then for each year of service you will receive an extra day annual leave up to a maximum of 3. You will also be rolled into the pension scheme once the probation period is completed. Subsidised gym membership and a profit share scheme is also in place allowing for bonuses due to performance etc.
