The role is working 12 hours per day on a 4 on 4 off basis.

Job Description

Job holder is responsible for all site plant and machinery requirements and maintenance

Minimize potential downtime in the production process across the site

Ensure the equipment and its environment is operated and cared for, meeting all current legislation and conforming to the organisation standards

Striving to continuously improve process efficiency, eliminating unnecessary costs from the business

Repair and maintain all factory equipment and machinery in a timely efficient manner

Ensure departmental standard operating procedures are adhered to

Ensure all reporting is well presented, comprehensive and fully completed

Support any reasonable management request

Respond to breakdowns and carry out remedial work independently

Competent in understanding electrical and mechanical systems and identifying whether the fault is electrical or mechanical. Must prove ability to read pneumatic and hydraulic drawings

Maintain excellent health and safety practice and carry out lock off procedures

The Successful Applicant

FMCG / Food / Automotive manufacturing experience

Time served mechanical engineer

HNC / HND minimum qualifications
