Mobile Electrical Maintenance Engineer

My client is one of UK's leading providers of M&E, HVAC Building Services & Facilities Management, specialists in the provision of tailored and bespoke engineering services to a varied, blue-chip client base to include Industrial, Commercial, Corporate & Government environments respectively.

The Mobile Electrical Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for carrying out planned & reactive maintenance, servicing, fault-finding and breakdown repair to electrical building services infrastructure systems to include (not limited to) power, 3 & single phase, lighting, emergency lighting & alarms within a cluster commercial buildings incorporated within rail environments.

The Mobile Electrical Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for approximately x 8 buildings that are located primarily within the York area although there will be the requirement to visit buildings located in the Leeds & Doncaster areas on occasion as business needs dictate.

Please Note

Although this position requires an electrical bias with relevant background, experience & technical qualifications, the successful candidate will be required to perform wider building maintenance to include (not limited to) low level plumbing & basic mechanical i.e. a 'first-look' at AHU & FCU along with basic joinery & facilities/fabric maintenance as required and a multi-skilled approach is essential.

Essential Candidate Requirements

City & Guilds 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations.

(Consideration may be given to 17th Edition IEE candidates that are booked on to the 18th Edition IEE course)

City & Guilds Electrical Parts I & II and/or equivalent

Recognised Electrical Apprenticeship

Experienced in Electrical Building Services Maintenance & General Facilities Maintenance

Possess a knowledge & appreciation of basic mechanical services AHU & FCU

The ability to multi-skill and possessing a flexible approach/'can-do' attitude to performing general facilities/building maintenance i.e. joinery, basic plumbing & fabric/property services.

Driving License (Maximum of 6 Penalty Points for Company Vehicle Insurance)

This position is to be based within commercial facilities that are located within railway station/depot environments and is NOT a trackside type position.

Up to £30,000 per annum

Call-out rota working is essential and this is approx. 1-6 (This may be subject to change)

Call-out runs from Monday to Monday

Paid £75.00 for being on call and paid when called out

Travel Time: 30 minutes travel time each way is expected.

Overtime Available

Company Van NOT Car (Reasonable Personal use is allowed)

PDA, Fuel Card & Uniform
