Mobile Mechanical Engineer / Maintenance Engineer
An additional Mechanical Engineer is needed for our M&E Engineering client, to cover PPM & Reactive calls to commercial buildings in Central, Greater London & M25.
Mechanical Engineer should be self-motivated, flexible and a practical individual with knowledge of mechanical, HVAC and general building services.
Main Responsibilities -
To undertake planned preventative maintenance, servicing and repair works across various contracts in accordance with relevant legislation. This will be to a range or mechanical plant - Pumps, Motors, Pressurisation Units, CW Systems, AHU's, FCU's, Ventilation and other equipment in plant rooms.
Provide first response to HVAC and M&E systems on site, make safe where needed and conduct basic first response fault identification & escalate to a specialist sub-contractor where needed.
To regularly and effectively communicate with clients, suppliers and sub-contractors to ensure smooth operation of the business.
Liaising with the helpdesk and administration teams
Attend to call outs during normal working hours and in addition will be part of the out-of hours emergency call out rota.
The Mobile Mechanical Engineer will be expected to be punctual, well-presented & of course wearing relevant PPE and clothing issued.
Completing and submitting clear, concise and accurate reporting for works carried out and any further work required.
Person Specification =
This is a mobile role and requires the applicant to travel to various sites around London and so a Driving Licence is essential.
Formal training / apprenticeship in an M&E or HVAC discipline is an advantage but not essential.
Relevant Courses & Cards - CSCS Card, L8 training, H&S training, etc are all useful.
This role would suit an individual that can work using their own initiative and have a proactive approach to undertake all tasks required. Maintenance Engineers should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills too.
