Engineering Manager – Shepton Mallet
My client a successful and expanding drinks company is looking to recruit an experienced Engineering Manager for their site in Shepton Mallet Somerset. The successful Engineering manager will manage a large team of engineers and report into the Engineering Director.
Engineering Manager Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Development of the engineering practices; development and management of the engineering team promoting good working relationships with other departments. Carrying out staff appraisals
Responsible for ensuring Holistech system is maintained and updated;
Implementing standards for maintenance of all production sites;
Attend monthly Health and Safety Meetings;
Responsible for statutory and regulatory inspections;
Responsible for contractor control and permit to work system;
BRC Compliance lead for Engineering;
Promote/encourage continuous improvement;
Ensure all duties carried out with due regard to policies and procedures of company, in particular H&S;
Manage relationships with suppliers in partnership with the Packaging Engineering Manager and the Senior Engineering Support Officer;
Key skill - The successful Engineering Manager MUST have:
-A recognised Engineering Qualification
-Experience of electrical planned and reactive maintenance including - fault finding and repairs to 3 phase systems, sensors, drives and invertors
-Must have experience working in a bottling, filling, labelling, liquid or packaging manufacturing environment
-Experience of developing PPM programmes
-Budget Management experience
This role will pay a competitive salary, Depending on experience. The hours are Monday – Friday 40hrs although there may be the occasional Sat am working. This role is commutable from Bath, Frome, Westbury, Tiverton, Bridgwater, Taunton, Bridgwater, Bristol, Trowbridge and may suit someone that has worked previously as a Site Engineering Lead or Engineering Manager.
