Principal Highway / Infrastructure Engineer
My clients Reading office workload is expanding, creating an opportunity for you to really shape your role and the business for the future. They are seeking expertise in highway and civil infrastructure design to deliver multi-disciplinary projects for the entire lifecycle - from concept, feasibility and planning through to detailed design and delivery.
Their projects, which include public and private sector clients, are varied and frequently require collaboration with multiple discipline experts across the business. They include some significant development, infrastructure and regeneration projects offering the opportunity to truly partner with the client to deliver effective infrastructure development solutions.
Key responsibilities will include:
·Lead engineering teams to deliver infrastructure projects to time and budget
·Ensuring high quality delivery in design
·Carry out QA checks to PBA standards
·Work closely with clients to influence the development of infrastructure schemes
·Lead, coach and develop team members

You'll need the following to succeed in this role:
·A detailed understanding of highway infrastructure planning and design
·Proven experience of delivering commercially successful projects
·In-depth knowledge of section 38 and section 278 highway design
·Experience of mentoring and managing the workload of junior team members
You'll most likely be an Incorporated or Chartered civil engineer, but your passion and experience of delivering quality infrastructure design solutions is most crucial to success in this role.
