Structural Engineer (Graduate + 3 years)
Our client has won many awards for their superb work. They are a group of experienced consulting Engineers with a range of expertise in structural & civil engineering. They cover a variety of projects from the design process up to completion.
You will be expected to design and analyse structural elements and frames in concrete, steel, timber, and masonry for mostly residential, educational and commercial buildings using AutoCAD, Tedds & Staad. You will regularly liaise with architects, the design team, contractors and local authorities. Whilst predominantly office based, you will also have some involvement with site surveys and inspection work. You will be able to work well as a team in order to meet deadlines as well as being able to manage your own time and workload. You will think of creative solutions and will use your logic to resolve design challenges. You will carry out detailed design work to current Eurocodes and relevant design guidance notes.
Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of degree level or equivalent vocational qualification in Structural Engineering. You will also have the relevant basic skills and knowledge to hit the ground running. Ideally, you will have 3 years' experience minimum but we can cater for slightly less if you are a high flyer. You will have strong written and spoken English. It would be an added advantage to have some experience using Tedds and/or Staad. It would also be useful to have Timber design knowledge along with reinforcement detailing and scheduling.
