Job Description

The role involves managing and fully developing the engineering department in line with business requirements. You will be responsible for budgetary control, making improvements in the efficiency of key lines and develop continuous improvements. Other aspects of the role include ensuring compliance, improving asset care and management, overseeing and involvement in project work.

Roles and responsibilities

*Ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety legislation within food. Knowledge of NEBOSH and Legionella are advantageous.
*Leading and directing operations within the whole engineering department.
*Delivering on business expectations, contributing to improvements within the engineering and manufacturing departments.
*Positively contribute to product development through the application of best available technology and automation to create efficient and sustainable manufacturing process.
*Drive improvements, with experience of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen.
*Strong team management experience, with record of managing engineering within FMCG
*Approving plans and budgets for each project and making any adjustments needed.
*Must have superior budgeting and cost management abilities, time management and organisational skills.
