Location: Halesowen or Luton

Hours: 35 hours per week

As the Engineering Manager, you will contribute to our vision of being the leading residential property manager, as recognised by others by:

Acting as the technical point of contact for operational issues and queries, and supporting the wider business in a consultative approach.
Undertaking technical contract management of key M&E service providers to ensure high quality delivery
Ensuring our supply partners are delivering service and projects to the correct standards.

This role reports to the Technical Services Manager and you will form part of a 4-person team working from our Halesowen Office.

About You

You have specific experience in managing high risk or high complex assets, including lifts, district heating schemes, CHP and electrical distribution (HV & LV).

Your knowledge and practical experience of managing buildings with numerous Mechanical and Electrical Building Services and associated suppliers is essential for this role.

Strong supplier management & performance improvement skills comes naturally to you as you have extensive technical experience.

You are electrically biased ONC, HNC, OND, HNC, NVQ Level 3 or Higher and are qualified in Health and Safety, either IOSH or CITB SMSTS.

Main Responsibilities

Initially, your focus will be working to improve services across our extensive lift portfolio, specifically:

Provide technical M&E support to the Technical Services team and wider business in a consultative approach.
Develop and manage the technical support and delivery for key M&E systems specifically around our Passenger Lift portfolio
Manage the service delivery of our high-focus technical suppliers, including the review and implementation of maintenance recommendations that are advised to meet Health & Safety, and compliance standards.
Provide a comprehensive M&E technical service that effectively supports the operational portfolio, with a strong stakeholder focus.
Develop and implement detailed maintenance schedules in conjunction with our key service providers
Develop lifecycle replacement pipelines for key assets and working with wider business stakeholders (Major Works, Surveyors etc.) deliver the lifecycle and remedial works
Identify gaps in team and business performance and implement appropriate procedure, process and solutions.
Review M&E modernisation/capital replacement proposals to ensure specification and value for money are robust, making recommendations for improvement where possible.

Though a predominantly office based, that the role will involve some UK travel to support operational issues and queries.
