What is Brewing & Brands?
Brewing & Brands is the operational heart of Greene King operating two breweries, one in the historic home town of Bury St Edmunds (Westgate Brewery) and the other in Dunbar (Belhaven Brewery). In addition to brewing we also have two packaging plants and a national distribution network.

Responsible for the Plant, People and Process this role will is accountable for creating an Engineering Function that is consistent with world class FMCG operations by developing and delivering an end to end engineering strategy across the multi-site operation.
·Create and Lead the deployment of the Engineering strategy that improves machine and process performance and ensures full legal compliance of statutory requirements across the multi-site operation.
·Maintain and continuously improve the Preventative Maintenance programme identifying critical asset care that enables the optimum balance of process performance and cost through improving MTBR and MTBF.
·Responsible for ensuring a culture of positive Behavioural Safety is promoted and adhered to through the appropriate safety frameworks for all engineers and contractors.
·Oversee that new installation/asset replacement projects are managed and implemented through an early equipment maintenance programme.
·Lead the deployment of Lean Methodologies in the Engineering function that encourages full Root cause analysis and the actions required to prevent further occurrences.
·Able to identify and implement industry best practice methods and use them to drive a culture changing approach to maintenance and promote a Safety behavioural culture within the engineering function.
·Work in partnership with the Operational leadership team, to improve key business results, to develop engineering skills and knowledge that promote a professional FMCG team culture.
·Lead the Engineering team on a day to day basis including the personal development and training to enhance individual capability and competence.
·Proactively using multiple data streams to identify opportunities to improve equipment process and drive a culture of Continuous Improvement across the sites engineering teams.
·Support projects that limit process impact on the Environment and promote the reduction in the overall consumption of main Utilities.
·Support a cross functional approach to improving and maintaining standards for internal and external audits.
