Graduate Investigation Engineer / Surveyor
Recently graduated Civil or Structural Engineers or recent graduate Building Surveyors, degree/HND required to work on site investigation of building structures.
Our client are a market leader in innovation in site investigation, a privately-owned engineering specialist. Due to a strong work and recent contract wins we are now looking to recruit Graduate Engineers or Building Surveyors to undertake structural testing and site investigation work. You will be providing bespoke investigation, analysis, and consultancy services on a wide range of historical, modern building projects and other structures across the UK and Internationally.
This is an exciting opportunity for a recent Graduate Civil Engineer or Graduate Structural Engineer or a Graduate Building Surveyor looking for something different to the typical design route, a technical and site investigation role dealing with building structures. You will be involved with Structural Building Surveys, using radar, thermal imaging, photo imaging, laser surveying and non-destructive testing. In due course the role would include some data presentation, basic report writing and use of AutoCAD. Training will be provided in the use of the material sampling equipment, site practices and data collection.
You we need to live locally enough to Cambridge, so you can work from the office on non-site weeks and be willing to travel to site as required by the client’s needs typically for a 1 or 2 week period, reporting back to the office. Working as part of an investigation team, you will need a practical background, an interest in problem solving, a willingness to work in a site environment. A full UK driving licence is essential.
Previous experience in site investigation or geophysical testing or building maintenance, surveying would be beneficial. We are particularly interested in self-motivated people with qualifications in civil and structural engineering or building surveying at NVQ, HNC/D and degree level.
