Working as part of the Maintenance Team be able to provide ‘Hands-on’ Technical support to both Production and other teams within the Factory and across the company.
The successful Maintenance Engineer will be a member of a multi-functional Engineering Team aiming to achieve key targets within the departmental environment, thereby helping to deliver Cost, Quality and Efficiency benefits to the Factory.
As an Maintenance Engineer at this Leicestershire business your role will involve:
-Carrying out planned as well as reactive maintenance across a variety of plant machinery
-Ensuring that machinery is operating at optimal performance
-Learning skills required to operate plant machinery in order to gain better understanding of processes
-Taking part in continuous improvement activities, helping to create new ideas and better solutions to create ever improving efficiencies
-Promoting safe working practises, understanding that health and safety is considered the most important factor at all times.
The successful maintenance engineer will have:
- Experience within a manufacturing environment
- Minimum requirements for qualification are to City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering or NVQ level 3 in Mechanical Maintenance
- Manufacturing or industrial background.
- Knowledge of Hydraulics and Pneumatics
- Electrical knowledge with an electrical qualification required
-PLC knowledge, highly advantageous
-Ambition to develop and progress required
