Excellent opportunity for an engineering manager to join a leading manufacturing company that will offer you a fully autonomous role where you will be able to stamp your mark on the engineering department.
Established for over 50 years; they have a reputation for excellence, supplying a wide range of specialty solutions to pre-dominantly blue-chip clients. The company part of a large worldwide organisation with 35 plants worldwide. This is a secure move as they have recently signed several new contracts this quarter for energy projects in the both Europe and the U.S.
In this role you will have full responsibly for the management of a team of engineers as well as the coordination of engineering projects, processes, methods and procedures to engineer improved operating performance.
The ideal candidate will have a degree, engineering management experience and come from a fast paced manufacturing environment.
This is a great role for an engineering manager to join a company where you will play a key role in this companies growth and development.
*Project management and deployment of new processes and new product introduction,
*Customer facing role directly supporting the Sales team activity with technical detail on processes, ensuring timely and cost competitive bids for new business
*Development of capital models and needs analysis (including equipment selection) to support project justification
*Maintain approvals and processes for current products and investigate any non-conformances and incidents
*Interrogate Materials Variance Analysis and plant financial data to understand profitability of work streams
*Understand plant capacity and work with management team to shape resource to need
*Identify, justify and execute continuous improvement activity projects
*Identify and mitigate risks to production through robust process and equipment management
*Lead, motivate and coordinate the engineering team
*Recruit, retain and develop talent
*Provide training on new methods
*Have a degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
*Experience working in a fast paced environment.
*Experience in managing engineering teams.
*Lean manufacturing and change management experience would be an advantage.
