Assistant Acceptance Engineer - Rolling Stock
Location: North West of England
Interviews / Start date: Starting February 2019
Contract Length: 9-month initial contract

This is an opportunity to work for a successful company which is operating new and improved trains across their fleet. This company is investing heavily in improving their existing fleet and delivering increased services and technology for their passengers. As a leader in the rolling stock industry, our client is dedicated to providing safe and reliable journeys for their customers.
You will be a key part of the Acceptance Project, entrusted to perform quality and compliance checks on a new fleet of trains before they go into service. You will focus on the document control and compliance oversight of the project where you will be required to coordinate with engineers, OEM’s and Senior Management to ensure that documentation is compliant to the client’s needs. You will also liaise extensively with the Acceptance Engineers to oversee technical final checks before signing off final documentation.
The Ideal Candidate
Ideally you will have experience as an Assistant Acceptance Engineer or have similar experience as a Project Coordinator or Document Controller with a view to progressing to an Acceptance Engineer as the next step in your career. You will have a strong background in rolling stock, be highly diligent and have experience / strong understanding of fleet acceptance, engineering drawing and technical specifications, great organsiatonl skills and a keen eye for detail.
A proven background in rolling stock, knowledge / experience of Acceptance Engineering with an engineering qualification graded Level 4 or above. The ideal candidate will have experience of working in an office environment and handling highly confidential information and documents of a technical nature.
Rates of Pay & Working Hours:
£350 - £400 per day with working hours of Monday - Friday (37.5 hours per week)
