Our client are recruiting for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer with a strong working knowledge of working below ground drainage and private road design to join a well known consultancy.
As Senior Infrastructure Engineer you will be responsible for the production and management of technical designs, and report writing. This will include but not limited to flood risk assessments, schematic designs, masterplan designs, drawings and specifications for infrastructure projects associated with public and privately funded developments as well as international projects.
As well as this, you will be required to provide input to resourcing schedules, financial planning and fee proposals associated with your project or part of the project you are responsible for. The role will involve liaising with clients, LA's and representatives from external organisations.
In this role you be required to work using your own initiative and drive with minimal supervision, the role will also involve supporting and supervising junior team members.
The Infrastructure Engineer will also be responsible for the technical review and checking of design information and reports prepared by others, and so must have the ability to liaise with and coordinate the work of other specialists within the organisation and with 3rd parties.
The ideal applicant will be required to have good and professional communication skills both oral and written and the ability to use computer modelling and design software associated with below ground drainage designs, earthworks and specification writing.(i.e. MicroDrainage, AutoCAD Civil 3D, AutoCAD, NBS Buildings and NBS Create).
You must be experienced in the production of detailed design information, technical reports, drawings, tender documents & specifications, integration with BIM for public and private developments, and familiar with Design Standards such as Sewers for Adoption, Building Regulations, National Planning Policy Framework, Code for Sustainable Homes, BREEAM and LEED, the Specifications for Highways works and other relevant British Infrastructure regulations.
You must be experienced in drainage infrastructure to adoptable standards including the negotiation of Section 104 and 106. Having experience in international projects will be a benefit.
